Adobe MAX on top of the World!

OK, ok, some of you appearantly are more frequent readers than I thought. So especially for you I am posting another experience I had today. Yes, I have been quite bussy, and have neglected to write on my blog. However if you create the time there is always enough to share on new things happening or new things learned.

Today was the first day at the Adobe MAX Event in Milano. Amazing to see what they came up with for new software technology. The sky seems to be the limit, if there is a limit at all. I realy start wondering when or if this is going to stop. Apart from Salesforce.com and Google, this (meaning Adobe) is one of the worlds most innovative companies, seeing what they come up with. From Pixel Bending on running video presentations to other Flash Player 10 gigs such as bi-directional texting. All on the newest flash player that will soon be launched by adobe.

Pixel bending you are saying?
Yes Pixel Bending. I don't believe I actually understand what it means and that I am actually using the word. It is a bit hard to explain so I wish I could show you because it realy looks cool. It basicaly is a playing movie on a moving object. For instance a waving flag. The entire movie waves along. Then when you pick up the corner of the flag and make it smaller or larger, the actual movie playing continues to play and the resize of the film happens without a problem continuing the wave as well.

AIR
Adobe AIR takes these new software applications straight to the desktop or mobile device without a browser. AIR is the browser! Or AIR allowing for Rich Applications that you can resize with your own hands, turn around slide across the screen, just like you can do with an iPhone or HTC Touch Diamond smartphone, etc. You know, like in the last James Bond movie or the Tom Cruise movie from several years ago where he is moving his hands through the air sliding the different files left to right, opening and reviewing them, etc. There are great new appliances you can use these tools for.

Web3.0
Amazing new gadgets with tools of the future were presented as well. Just imagin' pointing your phone to a beamer and throwing a picture from your phone to the beamer with one sliding move from a finger. Or when turning around and pointing to a laptop device or TV, wireless connecting, and by the same finger move, throwing the picture onto the laptop. You don't understand, me neither, but the tecnology works just like that. Or walking around in a street where you see interesting things online or presented in some electronic way. Just point your phone to it, connect, and make a sliding pull move with your finger on the phone screen, and the picture will be tagged and dragged onto your phone (if allowed for sharing). And not just pictures, you can do the same with music, video and other presentation types. Just imagine what we can do with all this technology for our customers and recruiters. I think we need a whole new battery of developers to start deploying this.

I am probably starting to bore you by now. On another note then... it's also amazing to see so many 'code monkeys' and 'programming freaks' together! It is a different kind of breed, but I am hanging in there and am enjoying what I see ;-) Most of these guys realy know there stuff ... I am deeply impressed! And I don't understand one thing about it! I am picking up many new idea's though and am creating new creativity for PeopleXS, so the fruits are already visible!

One last thing to share then. A fun new gadget to manage your incoming desktop publications from the different publishers out there. It avoids email clutter and dozens of spam mails or social network updates, try it out, it should be free as soon as available. For suppliers it is a great tool for helping customers come back to your website as well, see wave.adobe.com.
